Privacy, Australian Consumer Law & performance figures.

This page covers what we do with the information you send us through the enquiry form, what the Australian Consumer Law guarantees on our products and services, and how the numerical performance figures elsewhere on this site should be read.

Privacy Policy

Who we are

Photon Planet Ltd — ABN 25 677 731 350, Sydney NSW, Australia. Contact: sales@photonplanet.com.au · +61 493 410 156.

What personal information we collect

Only what the enquiry form on this site asks for: your name and work email are required; company, phone, project location, capacity in MW, product or service selections, request type, source page and the free-text message field may also be collected. The service also processes security-verification and limited request metadata needed to protect the form.

How we use it

Enquiry data is delivered by email to our sales team so we can reply to you, and — if you become a customer or supplier — so we can keep a record of the conversation for the life of the commercial relationship.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising cookies and uses no third-party analytics or behavioural tracking. Cloudflare Turnstile may process browser and network signals that are necessary to distinguish genuine submissions from automated abuse.

Third-party processors

Service providers that may handle information on our behalf include:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States, global edge network) hosts the website, terminates HTTPS and provides Turnstile security verification.
  • Resend, Inc. (United States) delivers the enquiry email from our submission endpoint to our business mailbox.
  • Microsoft 365 receives and stores enquiry emails in our business mailbox.

These providers process information under their own service terms. Resend may retain delivery content and logs for up to 30 days under current service-plan terms.

Retention

We keep enquiry emails in our business mailbox for the life of the customer relationship and normal Australian business record-keeping periods. You can ask us to delete an enquiry where we are not required to retain it by law or for an ongoing commercial need.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete it where applicable. Email sales@photonplanet.com.au or write to us in Sydney and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Security

The website enforces HTTPS with HSTS. The enquiry endpoint validates each submission server-side, verifies a Cloudflare Turnstile token, applies a short rate limit using a pseudonymous one-way network identifier, rejects oversized requests and drops simple automated submissions through a hidden honeypot field. Raw IP addresses are not placed in rate-limit storage or enquiry emails. Email in transit is delivered over TLS.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy request, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with a service, you are entitled to cancel the service contract and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or services. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. Nothing on this website limits those rights.

Performance figures

Numerical performance claims on this site — including the 5–11% Sunplus annual production uplift, the 4–15% SPN-10 annual energy uplift, and the 8 MW-per-day robotic cleaning rate — come from a combination of named field evidence, manufacturer reports, portfolio aggregates and current service specifications, as identified near each claim. They are not guarantees of site-specific performance.

Site-specific outcomes depend on module bifaciality, row pitch, mounting height, ground conditions, soiling profile, climate, curtailment, and operational practice, and should be confirmed by a project-specific yield study. Photon Planet can assist with performance modelling based on your site parameters.
